In "Knock With Me - Rock With Me" she & her husband move into her in laws house while they look for a new house, but LaDonna moves out into a hotel because she can't take her in laws & the way they are treating her. In "On Your Way Down", LaDonna is robbed, raped and beaten in her own bar. In "I Thought I Heard Buddy Bolden Say" Larry & LaDonna move into a new home.
In "Poor Man's Paradise" LaDonna's bar is burned down by one of her rapists. In "Tipitina", the third season finale, a benefit is held for LaDonna & her bar. LaDonna & Big Chief Albert Lambreaux's relationship develops into a romance.
In "Yes We Can Can" LaDonna & Albert are dating and she & Larry are in the process of divorcing, LaDonna is still living at the hotel.
