Creighton Bernette teaches English at Tulane University; his wife Toni is a civil rights lawyer. He and his wife Antoinette Bernette have a teenage daughter, Sofia. Creighton has spent the last several years (off-and-on) writing a novel about the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927.
